Special Upcoming Devotions for July…

We will be having enrollment into the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel this Sunday, July 19 after our regular 9:30 AM Tridentine Mass. We will be using the enrollment formula as found in the Roman Ritual for the Extraordinary Form.
Those who have not yet been enrolled in the Brown Scapular are encouraged to do so. Those who want new scapulars but have already been enrolled may also obtain them on Sunday.

Next Sunday, July 26, after the 9:30 AM Mass, we will have devotions in honor of St. Anne, Mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Grandmother of Jesus. We will have special prayers and veneration of the relic of St. Anne. We will also, as in the past have a replica of the famous statue of Ste. Anne de Beaupre on display during the devotions.
July 26 is the real feast of St. Anne but due to the liturgical rules, Sunday will take precedence over St. Anne’s feast (which is a 2nd class feast in the extraordinary form).
It should be noted that St. Anne is the patroness of the Archdiocese of Detroit and that the very first Catholic church in the archdiocese was named after her. We hope many of you will remain after Mass and pray with us as we honor the Grandmother of God.
